Following on the success of their first event (Special Invent #1: Craftform Games), the Guelph Arts Platform is pleased to announce their next Special Invent: Freeform Video Dance Party, taking place in conjunction with Art on the Street. On July 14th, the Platform will host an exhibition of locally produced music videos in The Square at 86 Wyndham St. (in the walkway near the downtown Post Office). The videos will play from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a special dance accompaniment at 3 o’clock sharp. Refreshments will be provided, prizes will be awarded, and Guelph Arts Platform memberships will be available.
The Special Invents Committee is accepting music video submissions until midnight on July 12th.
For more information or to submit a music video, contact Jenny Mitchell: jennyplatform@gmail.com. Hope to see you there!
The Special Invents Committee is also looking for volunteers and dancers. We are looking for people who are willing to roam between the Art on the Street displays, busking their own art, handing out Platform information, and directing people to the special invent. Ideally, we would like to have 4-6 volunteers working in short shifts. If you’d be interested in participating or would like more information, email Jenny at: jennyplatform@gmail.com. More information about volunteering can be found at our Volunteer page
